A monumental post ... (of course, with all that has been going on with us, what hasn't been MONUMENTAL)

... OK, for all you guys out there (like me) who didn't exactly know what this little paper strip was. This is a pregnancy test.  The first red line shows that it is working. The second fainter line, indicates that Rebekah (or your wife should she be the one to present these little strips to you) is pregnant. Now you are educated and won't look at the little paper strip like I did and go "so what is that and why are you so excited?"
.
Yes, we, technically Rebekah, are pregnant. Both of us are very excited, though a little overwhelmed. Glory be to God! Please do keep us in prayer. There's the often usual morning sickness, afternoon morning sickness and sometimes nighttime morning sickness.
.
Exciting times!

Hello Michael and Rebekah! Congratulations! You probably don’t remember, Michael, but my sister and I met you at the San Antonio airport on the way out from the Film Festival a couple of years ago. Ya’ll’s story reminds me so much of my husband’s and mine. We were married May 3, 2008, and found out on June 3 that we were expecting! What an exciting time! Midwife Appointments, looking at baby stuff, etc! Now here’s where your story, hopefully, will be different from ours: our little guy was born 3 months early, 6 months and 3 days after our wedding, November 6, at 27 weeks, weighing 2 pounds, 9 ounces. We spent the next 3 months in the hospital with him, and finally brought him home the beginning of February. While it was definitely a difficult time, God’s in control, and we were hugely blessed! Our little guy is just thriving now, and we love him to death! We just did our own little preggo test a few weeks ago and found out that we’re expecting again! This one’s due November 4, 2 days before our little guy’s 1st birthday, exactly 9 months after his due date!

We’ll be praying, Rebekah, that you carry this little one the full 9 months, and that the Lord would greatly bless you both with the birth of your firstborn, as He has us!

Blessings to you and your little one!

Yay!! I'm so happy for you guys!! Get lots of sleep now, so you will have fond memories of peaceful nights to look back on! I keep telling myself, "Ok, Erin... in the grand scope of your life, losing a year or two of sleep really isn't THAT horrible, right?" :) God bless mom and baby!!

Congratulations! News of a baby is the most blessed kind. When I read this though I had to laugh - you and Rebekah were married 5 days after my husband came home from Iraq, and the same day you posted this we found out that we were expecting too! If her due date is December 12th, I might be a little scared =) We will be praying for a you three!
