With all our commitments, we finally found a chance to to get away.
Camping through the eyes of Jack ... "Ooh ... a thing"
"What does the "thing" taste like?"
"So many "things" to taste"
Tasting shmasting, time for some walking.

Daddy and Mommy needs time for true love's kiss
Up, up and away!
Never ending stairs
Nothing like hot soup cooked over the fire at the end of a great day hiking.
Still time time for the sunset
And such a sunset it was

A little privacy please!
With no bears in sight, I guess this little goober will have to do for the "wildlife"
Next day, it was time for some adventure. Seriously ....
Look at that sign! I guess some people just like to over exaggerate things.
Why this is a mere roll in the hills.
A bridge with railings! Yep, it's gotta be safe.
Bekah begins to wonder about the man she married.
Around the corner ...
... and to the top!!
Beauty at the top
Wow! We did it!
Do you know, if you stood here at sunrise, you would be the first folks in America to receive it's light.
The Maine View
The Steadfast Tin Soldier
Frozen toes
Rugged Beauty
So much time, so little to see ...
Thunder hole
So hard to come home from this. God's creation is so beautiful!

What an adventure!! Brings back so many memories of when Kirsten was Jack's age and we started hiking and camping. No digital cameras back then!! Hope you have many more opportunities to experience the wonderful world of mother nature! ~karen
What an awesome story these tell! I love the ones of "life through the eyes of Jack...discovering a "thing"...tasting a "thing"....checking out every "thing"! Love the tree sitter..and the maiden on the rocks, rocks! Yup you have cute little "wildlife" growing up. So precious! ♥
